Hinton’s Orchard offers educational field trips for children of all ages. The tours are primarily focused toward elementary age children, but adjustments can be made for older students. Tours begin in April and continue through the end of October. Each season brings a different and unique tour focus. Kentucky core content materials are integrated to assist in teaching students about how crops grow and why the crops are important to all of us.
Note: These tours are offered Monday – Friday between 9 am and 3 pm.
Pricing is for groups of 10 or more. Teachers and staff are admitted free of charge. Parent chaperones receive a reduced admission. If you have questions or would like to schedule a group please call (270) 325-3854 or email Joanna.
Important Group Tour Information:
- Our hayride wagon is fully enclosed and safe for even the most active students.
- Two indoor restrooms are available, each with two separate stalls and a hand washing station.
- Let us know if you have a special curriculum that we should connect with as part of our program. We can alter our presentations for students of all ages.
Program options change with the seasons, but always include a discussion of the apple crop. Click here for a more in depth description of the Hinton’s Orchard field trip options. Click here for a list of the core content areas covered during a Hinton’s Orchard field trip.
