Spring Tours
Spring is a busy time on the farm as plants begin to grow for the season. Our apple and peach trees bloom and begin to produce the year’s crop. Strawberries are blooming and producing red, juicy berries. The greenhouses at Hinton’s Orchard are also busy during the spring growing flowers, herbs, and vegetable plants to be used on the farm and for customers to purchase. On a spring tour, students will hayride through the orchard to learn about the life cycle of our trees, tour greenhouses to see various stages of plant growth, and visit the strawberry patch for each student to pick a few berries in season. Students can play in our Hinton’s FarmLand play area and classes have the option of bringing a sack lunch to eat under our pavilion.
