Celebrate the beginning of the fall season with a visit to Hinton’s Orchard this Saturday! Hinton’s Apple Festival is the official opening of our expanded play area, corn maze and kicks off the fall hayride season. Our new barrel train will make its debut this weekend! Hinton’s Kitchen will be making the first apple dumplins of the season, and there will be fresh baked pies, caramel apples, caramel apple ice cream and more! Our friends from Adams Family Foods will be cooking up their famous grilled cheeses and more great food items. Inside the farm market, you will find several varieties of apples, fresh apple cider, fresh baked bread, and all of your favorite items from Hinton’s Orchard. Come enjoy an afternoon on the farm with good food, good fun, and a live music!
The calendar has turned to September and cooler temperatures are turning our focus to the fall season. At Hinton’s Orchard it is beginning to look a lot like fall with several varieties of apples entering the market. Whether you are looking for sweet or tart apples, apples to eat or apples to cook, caramel apples or apple cider, all kinds of apples are now available.
To further encourage our fall mindset, mums of all colors are beginning to bloom. Both Hinton’s Orchard locations have mums in a variety of sizes and colors to decorate your home for the fall season.
While you are shopping for fall, pick up some of Hinton’s great vegetables to eat too! Plenty of tomatoes, peppers, onions and other vegetables are still available with great fresh taste!

The month of May is winding down which means the beginning of the summer season. At both Hinton’s Orchard markets, you will find our fresh picked strawberries as well as the beginning of garden vegetables — squash, zucchini, and cabbage. Both markets are also still stocked with flowers, vegetable plants, and herbs to finish your plantings as well as hanging baskets and containers.
As we begin adding summer vegetables to our markets, the produce available changes nearly every day. Make sure you stop in often to get the freshest and newest offerings!
Don’t forget that Hinton’s carries fresh local beef from Davis Bend Farm and Penn’s country ham and sausage. These great Kentucky products go well with our fruits and vegetables, especially on the grill!

The Hinton’s Orchard 2017 season is underway! Our Elizabethtown store is now open Monday – Saturday 9 am – 6 pm.
The season begins with vegetables plants, perennials, some herbs, and the first of our annual flowers. Garden seeds, seed potatoes and onion sets, potting soils and mulch are also ready. The store is full of new items that you need for spring like gardening gloves, pruners, and tools, both organic and conventional fertilizers and pesticides, watering cans, bird and hummingbird feeders, and MUCH more. New this year, are a lawn fertilize and care program and an all natural tobacco stalk fertilizer that is locally produced. Items will be added often as items in our greenhouses continue to grow!
If gardening is not your thing, you can also find all of the great products that you enjoy from Hinton’s Orchard. If your supply of apple butter, peach salsa, tomato dressing, pickles, and anything else has run out over the winter, it’s time to stock up! Hinton’s Kitchen is baking bread and churning out peanut butter.
The farm market will open for the season on April 18 and Sunday hours will begin in Elizabethtown before the end of the month. Check in often to see what new things are ready. If you need it for spring, Hinton’s has it!
Another season has come to a close at Hinton’s Orchard & Farm Market. Both our Elizabethtown market and our Farm market will be closed through the winter months. Elizabethtown will reopen around April 1, 2017 and the Farm market will reopen mid-April. We thank our many customers for a wonderful 2016 as we expanded our business and look forward to adding many new things next season. The Thanksgiving holiday is rapidly approaching along with thoughts of juicy turkey, yummy side dishes, and scrumptious desserts. Hinton’s Orchard won’t complete your entire meal, but we can help put your feast together! Hinton’s Kitchen will be busy making desserts including pumpkin, apple, and pecan pies. Pre-order your pie today! Limited quantities will be available at both markets on Tuesday, November 22 and Wednesday, November 23. Inside both markets, you will find locally grown potatoes, sweet potatoes and butternut squash, Hinton’s own tomatoes, or pick up a loaf of fresh baked bread or a gallon of the last fresh apple cider of the year.
Hinton’s Orchard will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The Farm Market and Elizabethtown Market are open Monday – Saturday 9 am – 5 pm through December 23. Pre-cut Christmas trees will begin arriving on Wednesday, November 23. We hope to see you soon at a Hinton’s Orchard location!
Fall produce is still in abundance at Hinton’s Orchard! The temperatures are getting cooler, leaves are beginning to fall, and great tasting apples are plentiful at the farm.
Both Hinton’s markets have several varieties of apples in stock – Fuji, Granny Smith, Cameo, Arkansas Black, and Winesap are available at this time. For vegetables, Hinton’s own fresh tomatoes and butternut squash are available as well as local sweet potatoes and potatoes. Hinton’s Kitchen bakes fresh bread twice each week and fresh apple cider will be available through Thanksgiving. Mums are still available at the Elizabethtown market.
Hinton’s FarmLand play area and corn maze will be open through Tuesday, November 8th. Take advantage of the great weather and spend some time at the farm this long weekend. Pumpkin pie ice cream and apple cider slushies will be available to cool off from all of the fun!

Fall fun continues at Hinton’s Orchard as we head into Halloween weekend! It seems that the weather is going to cooperate with one more wonderful weekend before October comes to an end. Be sure to plan a trip to Hinton’s Orchard this week for carving pumpkins, apple cider, caramel apples, and fresh baked treats.
At the farm, visit this weekend for a hayride, to explore the corn maze, and let the kids play in Hinton’s FarmLand play area.
