Halloween is getting close which means it is time for Hinton’s Halloween Party & Hot Air Balloon Glow! Make your trip to the farm this Saturday, October 21 for great fall fun. Hayrides will be traveling to the pumpkin patch throughout the day and the play area and corn maze will be open for fun. The hot air balloons will move in late afternoon and begin to glow about 6:30 and glow for about an hour. Each of the balloons will be open for trick-or-treating for the kids. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. The farm market will be open until 9:00. Admission is $5 per person and includes all activities except for our new barrel train. Children 2 and under are always admitted free.
The farm market is stocked with several varieties of apples, fresh apple cider, baked goods from Hinton’s Kitchen, and all of the great food items that you have grown to love from Hinton’s Orchard. Be sure to take some apple butter or pumpkin butter home with you! Pick your own pumpkin from the patch or choose from the hundreds already picked for you. You will also still find tomatoes and peppers from our garden and some fresh sweet potatoes.
You won’t go hungry on Saturday at Hinton’s Orchard! Hinton’s Kitchen will be serving our famous apple dumplins and one-of-a-kind pumpkin pie ice cream. The Cue Crew BBQ will be at the farm throughout the day and night serving pulled pork, hot dogs and more. LaRue County Beef Producers will be cooking burgers and hot dogs in the evening. Whether you need a meal or something to satisfy your sweet tooth, there will be something for everyone!
Hinton’s Elizabethtown market still has a great selection of fall decorations and products including mums and pumpkins, apples, apple cider, and other Hinton’s products. The fun activities are at the farm, but if you just need to stock up, stop in at 620 E. Dixie Avenue in Elizabethtown.
Come celebrate fall fun at Hinton’s Orchard! Open at both locations Monday through Saturday 9 am – 6 pm and Sundays (through October) 1 – 6 pm. Special Balloon Glow hours this Saturday, October 21st at the farm until 9:00.
Even if you can’t make it to the farm on Saturday, plan a trip before the end of October. Hayride wagons will be running on Sunday, October 22, Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29 before the month of fun comes to an end!
