Early apple season has arrived at Hinton’s Orchard! Lodi “June” apple harvest has begun. If you don’t know these apples, they are great for cooking, frying, or making applesauce. The taste is very sour so only the bravest customers eat them raw, but Lodis are a favorite for cooking.
Garden vegetables are also beginning to ripen. Find fresh picked squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and broccoli from Hinton’s gardens as well as local tomatoes and potatoes, and sweet Vidalia onions. More vegetables will continue to be added in the coming weeks as well.
If you still need to complete your flower beds and home gardens, Hinton’s has many nice options remaining and all flowers are now 20% off. Bedding plants, hanging baskets, and flower pots are still plentiful. You will also still find a nice selection of bedding flowers and herbs. If you haven’t finished the vegetable garden, many garden plants are now 50% off, so there is no reason to delay any longer!
